Dear Mr. Bellany:
In response to Inspection Report No. 70 398/89 01, we have taken the following actions to assure control of use and calibration of portable survey instruments with the established tracking system:
- 1. The technician who perforns calibrations and who documents the tracking control has been retrained with respect to the appropriate record keeping data needed to assure timely status information for any given instrusent.
- 2. The Health Physicist who is responsibio for the instrumentation area, and who is a recently onployed worker, has been trained in the oversight functions necessary to assure proper control of instr':went use and calibration.
