Annual Report on Loss of Coolant Accident (LOCA)/ Emergency Core Cooling System (ECCS)
As required in 10CFR50.46(a)(3)(ii), Omaha Public Power District (OPPD) has reviewed the LOCA/ECCS Codes and Methods for changes or errors as applied to the Fort Calhoun Nuclear Station (FCS) Unit No.1.
This review was completed by Combustion Engineering. The only change or error through December 1988 was in the STRIKIN-II computer code. The magnitude of this change and error was less than l'F in the peak clad temperature as described in the " Annual Report on C-E ECCS Codes and Methods for 10CFR50.46."
i Combustion Engineering reviews the LOCA/LCCS analyses for FCS on an annual basis with the report being issued during the first quarter of the following year. Therefore, beginning in 1990, OPPD will submit the LOCA/ECCS changes and i
if necessary, identified errors, as required by 10CFR50.46(a)(3), within 90 days from receipt of the C-E report.
