HUGH THOMPSON TELECON Hugh called a.m. 3/17/87, wanting to talk to you and was forwarded to me.
His purpose for calling was to check on the status of the New Mexico mill licensee Information Paper and the Atlas package.
I informed him the Information Paper was sent to him on 3/16 and that we expected the Atlas package to be issued this week.
He questioned whether we had developed a strategy to deal with a surety that might be provided by Atlas that is in a form or amount that is something less than what we believe is acceptable.
I informed him that while we don't have specific strategy in place, URF0 and his staf f have been discussing the issue and that the Atlas memo from you to him addresses not only the details of the Atlas specific case but also the generic issue of sureties.
