NOTICE OF VIOLATION Georgia Power Company-License Nos. DPR-57 and NPF-5 Edwin I. Hatch Facility Based on the NRC inspection March 10-19, 1980, certain of your activities were j
apparently not conducted in full compliance with NRC requirements as indicated below. These items have been categorized as described in correspondence to you dated December 31, 1974.
As required, in part, by Sections 3.1.2.1.2 and 3.1.2.1.3 of Appendix B, Technical Specifications, monitoring programs for entrainment of ichthyo-plankton and impingement of organisms, respectively, were to commence on January 2,1979.
Centrary to the above, the subject monitoring programs were commenced February 1,1979, without prior notification of nor approval by the NRC.
Corrective actions precluding recurrence of this item were completed prior to conclusion of the inspection. No further response is required.
This is a deficiency.
