Dear Mr. Engelken:
Sacramento Municipal Utility District has determined that a reportable occurrence under Section C.2.a(8) requires prompt notification.
A re' view of the SFAS digital actuation system that requires energi:stion to trip reveals that under possible conditions where. inverter A or B is removed from service a single failure of the other inverter during an accident will prevent the Safety Features System from operating.
The immediate corrective action has been completed that requires
,,i treating the A and B inverters as safety features equipment.
If inverter A or B becomes inoperable, the reactor will be shut j

This limit is within the limits established in the Technical Specificat'_ons safety features equipment.
