Docket No. 99900510/79-02 NOTICE OF DEVIATION Eased on the results of an NRC inspection on May 21-25, 1979, it appeared that certain of your activities were not conducted in full compliance with your co itnents au indicated below:
Chapter 17.1.3, Design Control, subsection g. of the Washington Public Power Supply System Preliminary Safety Analysis Report requires that " Design documents and revisions thereto are distributed to responsible individuals in a timely manner-and contrplied to prevent inadvertent use of superseded material."
Contrary to this cc::xmitment, specification 9779-243, revision 11, issued for the procurement of Category I storage tanks on February 3',1975, contain seismic response spectra (pa ges 20/,-16,17, & 18) which were superseded by a revishn to calculations in April 1975; however, this specification was not revised and distributed to the supplier of these storage *A.
(See Details section II, paragraph B.3. for additional inforation).

Areas Insoected:
Implementation of 10 CFF. 50, Appendix B, criteria in the areas of design verification, design inspection, and action on previous inspection findings.
The inspection involved sixty-four (64) hours on site by two (2)
USNRC inspectors.
Results:
In the three (3) areas inspected one (1) deviation and one (1) unresolved item were identified in two (2) areas.
No deviations or unresolved items were identified in the other area.
