UNITED STATES NUCLEAR REGULATORY COMMISSION DOCKET NO. 50-219 JERSEY CENTRAL POWER & LIGHT COMPANY NOTICE 0_F ISSUA_NCE OF AMENDMENT TO PROVISIONAL OPtHATI!JG LICENSE The U. S. Nuclear Regulatory Commission (the Commission) has issued Amendment No. 46 to Provisional Operating License No. DPR-16, issued to Jersey Central Power & Light Company (the licensee), which rev'ised the Technical Specifications for operation of the Oyster Creek Nuclear Generating Station (the facility) located in Ocean County, New Jersey.
The amendment is effective as of its date of issuance.

The application for amendment complies with the standards and requirements of the Atomic Energy Act of 1954, as amended (the Act), and the Conmission's rules and regulations. The Commission has made appropriate findings as required by the Act and the Commission's rules and regulations in 10 CFR Chapter I, which are set forth in the license amendment. Prior public notice ofthisamendmentwasnotrequiredsincetheamendmentdoesnotinholhea significant hazards consideration.
The Comenission has determined that the issuance of this amendment will notresultinanysignificantenhironmentalimpactandthatpursuantto 10CFR551.5(d)(4)anenhironmentalimpactstatementornegatihedeclaration and environmental impact appraisal need not be prepared in connection with issuance of this amendment.
