' 'f;.ggW Re: Operating License DPR-54 Docket No. 50-312 Reportable Occurrence 80-20 Deai-Mr. Engel ken:
- dletin 79-01B issued January 14, 1980, item 6, required the District to n.ake an immediate report if nonenvironmentally qualified components are utilized is safety equipment and required to function during postulated accidents.
A report was submitted to your office on April 17, 1980 stating tha t NAMCO switches, Model Hos. M-2-300 and 01200G, were identified on safety related valves. The subsequent investigation determined that these switches are solely utilized for light indication.
The switches do not control actuation, position nor any other interlock function. Therefore, this occurrence is not reportable and Reportable Occurrence 80-20 will be deleted from the LER file.
Respectfully submitted, 1&M J. J. Mattimoe Assistant General Manager a,-d Chief Engineer JJM:RWC:Jr cs: Director, MIPC (2) k 4 D 1
