In the Matter of DUKE POWER COMPANY (Amendment to Materials License SNM-1773 for Oconce Nuclear Station Spent Fuel Transportation and Storage at McGuire Nuclear Station) l
Dear Memoers of the Board:
j Staff Counsel has been informed that the Comission has acted favorably on the amendments to the Intarim Rule, 10 C.F.R. 5 73.37, setting forth requirements for the physical protection of irradiated reactor fuel in transit. This action was taken on April 23, 1980.
On April 18, 1980 Duke Power Coupany submitted additional information to the Staff to show compliance with the then-proposed amendments to this rule. The Staff will be prepared to address the status of Duke's compliance with the new regulation at tne hearing scheduled to resume on April 28, 1980.
