BOMS lllRLATS At 5:28 PH on March 21. 1980, an employee of the Westchester County New York lelephone Company received a telephonc call from an unidentified male whn.

stated "There is a bomb in Indian Point." The caller than hung up.

The Buchanan, New York, Police Ocparbuent and New York State Police at Peekskill, New York were notified.

the site was notified by the Buchanan Police at 5:52 PM and the State Police arrived at the site at 6:14 PM.

A search uf the site was conducted and was terminated al 6:50 l'M after no bomb was found.

At 6:30 PM on March 23, 1980, a Cleason contract guard on duty at the Glennshore Glass Comoany in Rockland, New York, received a telephone call from an unidentified male who niado coiunents critici7ing the glas, company's service and the way that the Iranian situation is being handled.

He stated that bombs were set to go off between 7:00 AM and IP noon on Monday, March 24, 1980. and that these bombs were placed at the Glennshnre Glass Company, The Orange Rockland IJtility company and Indian Point.

Ihu caller further stated, "The bombs will work this time.

They will help the hostages." All of these facilities were notified at 8:00 PM by the Buchanan Police. The Peekskill Barracks of the State Police was also notified.

A scarth of the linit I and 2 sites (Con [d) was performed and tcminated at 9:30 PM af ter no homb was found. The Unit 3 (PASNY) site 315.0 began a search of the area at 8:00 PM on March 23, 1980.

Lxtra patrols (3 men) are being conducted at the IJnit 3 facility and will remain in effect at least until noun. Monday, March 74, 1980.

The. TAT has been notified.

Media interest is not expected, the State of New York has been infonned. A Press release is not planned by the licensee or NRC. rk" -

NRC, Region I, (Philadelphia) received notification of this occurrence by Lele-phonc from licadquarters Duty Officer at 9:25 PM on March 73, 1980.
