This office has received a copy of your March 28, 1980 application for amendment to Facility License NPF-2 for Farley 1 which you filed with the Office of Nuclear Reactor Regulation (0NRR) for review and approval.
The request relates to changes in organization and responsibilities and rod bow penalty calculation, and was accompanied by a Class III amendment fee of $4,000.
Based on guidance from the ONRR staff as a result of a preliminary review of your application, it has been determined that your application involves consideration of two single safety issues.
As such, two Class III fees of
$4,000 each are applicable rather than one Class III fee.
It is requested 1
that your Company promptly remit the additional sum of $4,000 to this office.
If the final review of your application by the ONRR staff reveals that these fees are incorrect, you will be refunded any overpayment or be asked to pay any additional amount due.
As a matter of information, when organizational changes involve changes in lines of responsibility and/or the functions of a committee or position, they are not considered to be administrative or pro forma in nature and, therefore, are seldom considered to be in the Class II fee category.
