%, N '*.....o Docket No. 50-368 Mr. William Cavanaugh, III Vice President, Generation and Construction Arkansas Power & Light Company P. O. Box 551 Little Rock, Arkansas 72203
Dear Mr. Cavanaugh:
We have reviewed your letter of February 28, 1980 which provided information on the design of fire barriers to be installed in a location where cables from redundant safe shutdown divisions come in proximity to each other in the cable spreading room of Arkansas Nuclear One, Unit No. 2 (ANO-2) (Item 3.6 from our SER NUREG-0223). We find that the proposed design will provide the protection intended in our SER. Accordingly, we find the proposed design acceptable.
Bf letter dated December 17, 1979 we requested additional information con-cerning the fire protection for AN0-2. Your letter of February 28, 1980 only addressed the issue of the fire barriers to be provided in the cable spreading room. We note that you are considerably late in providing the requested additional information. Therefore, we request that you provide all the additional information which we requested in our December 17, 1979 letter as promptly as possible in order that we can complete our review.
Sincerely, ksk I' b
