Dear Mr. Riccardo:
This is to confirm our telephone conversation of March 5, 1980, concerning regulatory requirements for portable radiation survey meter calibration recall systems. As we discussed, there are no specific regulations or regulatory guides describing systems for or methods of recall of instruments for calibration. With regard to frequencies of calibration for portable radiation survey meters, such frequencies are now established
-by plant procedures. The proposed Radiation Protection Plans for TMI-l and 2 will specify minimum frequencies for portable survey meter calibrations.
Sincerely, ddwh D. M. Collins,-Leader Radiation Protection Section, RAB Division of Site Safety and Environmental Analysis, NRR 8004020 O s 7
