Dear Sir:
I am writing this letter because of my concern over the problem of iodine emissions from the Three Mile Island Nuclear Power Plant.
From my readings, I have found that the iodine 131 is being released into the air and then falls out on the surround-ings areas.
However, when it rains these particles are going to be washed into the surrounding streams of the inflicted areas.
Being a concerned citizen of Pennsylvania, I. feel more should be done in our rivers streams to keep the iodine 131 in check.
Rains could wash such a concentration into streams that our aquatic wildlife may be affected, possibly the general populatiens which uses this water for drinking.
Why isn't there more of an effort to keep us more informed of these levels in our water supply.
Sincerely,
- QJ W ! J h N*
