LLO6 Mahan Rd Silver Spring, Md 20906 Mr. Joseph M. Hendrie Chairman NRC 111b Matomic Bldg 1717 H St., NW Washington, DC 20555

Dear Mr. Hendrie:

Last April at the time of the Three Mile Island crisis we sent the following mailgram to Mr. Clifford V. Smith, NRC Office of Nu-clear Materials Safety & Safeguards in the Department of Energy:

"We are designers and manufacturers of liquid waste disposal equipment. Our distiller concentrators can be engineered to handle radioactive waste waters remotely and safely.

They have proven performance in the chemical industry. We are prepared to cope with the radioactive waste water pro-blem at Three Mile Island Pennsylvania. We will gladly send information and discuss our capabilities with you. Call Mr.

Willian Williamson, President LICON, Inc, Pensac,la, Florida 90h-h77-033h, if interested. Signed Edgar A. Cadwallader LICON Washington representative.

We never received any acknowledgement of our mailgram from any official in NRC. In view of the present and continuing problem in handling the radioactive waters at the Three Mile installation, we still believe we can contribute to solving this problem.

I Sincerel,

a4 4 duc/4c/A Edg A. Cadwallader, P.E.
