Docket No. 50-320 Mr. Marvin I. Lewis 6504 Bradford Terrace Philadelphia, Pennsylvania 19149

Dear Mr. Lewis:

This is in response to your recuest that we reschedule the scoping meeting for the programmatic environmental impact statement on the decontamination and disposal of radioactive wastes resulting from the accident at TMI-2. The meeting is scheduled for January 29, 1980, in Harrisburg, Pennsylvania.

At this late date, our meeting cannot be rescheduled. There is not enough time to notify the more than 200 people who are expected to attend the meeting.

Also, yours is the only request we have received to change it.

Your written comments on the scope of the statement and the issues which should be considered in depth are welcome and should be received in my office by February 15, 1980.

We are currently planning on holding an additional scoping meeting on this subject sometime in.the latter part of February. That meeting will be in Middletown, Pennsylvania.

You will be notified as to time and location as soon as final arrangements are made.

Your interest in the programmatic EIS is appreciated and I shall look forward to receiving your comments and suggestions.

incerely, st/ fvM
