Durirg its 103rd ractirr,, July 10-12, 1975, the Advisory Comittee on Reacter Safo;uards revic red the proposal of the Sacramento Municipal Utility District to increase the pouer Icycl of the Rancho Seco 1:uc10ar Generatirg Station, Unit 1, froa 2568 M'l(t) to 2T/2 I;!(t). This proposal uas also considered at a SubccI-mittee noctirg in Washington, D. -C.
on June 211, 1975.
In the courso of its review, the Cortittee had the benefit of discussions with representatives and consultants of the Sacre:r.cnto liunicipal Utility District, the Babcock and Hilcox Company (B&W), and the NRC StatT, and of the documents listed.
The Cc:raittae last reported on the operation of this plant in its letter of Septonbcr 11, 1973 At that time, the Co=aittee recom-mondcd that three conditions be satisfied before the plant uas permitted to operate at its desiSn poner level of 2772 IO!(t).
Operation of Unit 1 of the Oconce Nuclear Station, the a.
prototypa for ibncho Seco Unit 1, should be revicued and found satisfactory by the Rc;ulatory Staff.

Operatien of Rancho Seco Unit 1 at 2568 ff.l(t) should be revicwed by the Ho;ulatory Staff and the ACES and detemined to be naticractory.
