DESCRIPTION OF REQUEST:
In our ECCS review of the Oconce !!uclear Station, questions arose as to the seismic I
qualification of the overhead path for supplying coergency electrical power from the Keowee Hydro Units through the 230 KV switchyard to the Oconee plants.
The licensee advised us that the path had been seismically designed to with-stand the.15g earthquake referred to in the Oconee FSAR for Class I structures.

identifying the details of the seisthic j

design of this portion of the emergency power system. In our SER for the Oconce Unit 2 cycle 2 reload (June 30,1976)we indicated that the licensee had cocruitted i
to providing the confirmatory infomation requested in sufficient tire for us to I
complete our review prior to restart of Oconec Unit 3 following refueling in the fall of 1976. Restart is now expected to occur in Novemt>cr 1976.
