On October 10, 1976, the Oconee Ifnit 3 ev.perienced a failure of power to a solenoid valve vzhich caused a condtnser discharge valve to open thile the condenser mnways wre open during si:utdown. This resulted in flooding of the turbinn building base-inent to a level of at,out one foot.

The Oconee FSAR, Supplement 13, addresses what DISTRIBUTION Dute Power Company assuned to te the worst ficoding Docket Files incident in the tur'vint buildino. This wrst ORB #1 Reading incident assured is the failure of an expansion TAR File joint in a con tenser inlet line at full flcu i
