Dear Mr. Rusche:
In respouse to your letters dated May 11 and September 28, 1976 con-cerning the Oconee Nuclear Station Fire Protection System, the attached report is provided.
This report contains the results of the fire hazards analysis which has been performed; a comparison of the Oconee Fire Protection System with Appendix A to Branch Technical Position APCSB 9.5-1, " Guidelines for Fire Protection for Nuclear Plants Docketed Prior to July 1, 1976," and proposed modifications and additions to the fire protection system.
It is our intention to implement these modifications and additions to the fire protection system by July 1, 1978.
In reaponse to your request for identification of the date we intend to be in compliance with Section B of Appendix A, " Administrative Procedures, Controls and Fire Brigades, it is our intention to meet those criteria not currently complied with by August 15, 1977.
With regard to Section C of Appendix A, " Quality Assurance," this section will be transmitted to you by March 1, 1977.
With regard to your request for submittal of proposed Technical Specifi-cations for the present fire protection system, it is our intention to provide these specifications by March 1, 1977.
