Dear Mr. Moseley:
In response to Mr. J. G. Davis' letter of February 21, 1973 and AEC/DRO Bulletin No. 73-1, we have determined that there are no Westinghouse circuit breakers, Models DB-25, DB-50, and DB-75, installed or scheduled to be installed at Oconee Nuclear Station.
It was found, however, that the Keowee Hydro Station has installed six type DB-50 and ten DB-25 breakers. A program of replacement of the overcurrent. trip devices in the DB-50 breakers with ones of a new design has been implemented and it is anticipated that the replacement devices will be installed within 90 days.
The overcurrent trip device on the DB-25 breaker is of a different design from that on the DB-50 breaker.
The DB-25 breakers were inspected and no faulty overcurrent trip devices were revealed.
For these reasons, no replacement of these devices is planned. All Model DB-25 and DB-50 breakers installed at Keowee Hydro Station will be inspected annually to insure their proper operation.
