Dear Mr. Price:
N This is in response te Mr. DeYoung's letter of July 12, 1971,' transmitting copies of tne Pre-Operational Envirccmental Racicactivity Monitoring Program Report for the Duke Power Company's Ocenee Nuclear Station, Scut-Carolina, AEC Decket Nos. 5C-2c9, 270, and 2c7.
The environ = ental monitoring program for this station for the most part is adequate, but data for benthic organisms are omitted in some i
tabl e :.
Tne list of criteria for the selection Of sampling location:
as mentioned en pages 6 and ' of the report appears adequate. Mcwever, in subsequent tables, listing samples and locations (snme/, 2-1 and j
2-la) no data are shown for benthic organisms. Also, the distance from the radicactive vaste discharge point to the nearest downstresa sampling station is not clearly indicated.
