Duke Power Company has filed an application for operating licenses j
to authorize operation of three pressurized water type nuclear reactors at its Oconee Nuclear Station in Oconee County, South

Carolina. Construction of the reactors, designated as the Oconee Nucient Statien Units 1, 2, and 3, was authorized by the Commission j
vith the issuance of Construction Permit Hos. CPPR-33, CPPR-34, and 1
CPPR-33 on November 6, 1967.
At the Commission's request the Geological Survey reviewed the Preliminary Safety Analysis Report for the Oconee Station Units 1, 2, and 3 and on June 19, 1967 aubmitted comments to the Commission.
A copy of Application Amendment No. 7 with Volumes 1 and 2 of the Oconee Station Unita 1, 2, and 3 Final Safety Analysis Report is enclosed. This information is forwarded to you for your review and ccaments on the hydrological aspects of the proposed operation of Units 1, 2, and 3 which have a bearing on our safety review.
