Dear Mr. Davis:
This letter is to amplify Item 1 of my letter of Febrary 18, 1972, to you which was in response to your letter of January 21, 1972, in the matter of audits. The construction audit that was performed at Oconee on January 4-6, 1972, was conducted in accordance with our plan for quality audits except that procedures for the audit were nat included in written form in the initial files of this audit. The audit team,

consisting of experienced personnel, had pre-planning meetings to establish the procedures and a check list of items to be covered in the audit. The audit was performed in accordance with the conclusions reached at these meetings. An outline of the procedures and check list used has now been made a part of that audit. file.
In subsequent audits, the results of the pre-planning will be reduced to written procedures and check lists to be followed in performance of the audit. The above information is alsa in response to Item 1 of the enclosure to your letter of March 16, 1972.
