CONTAINMENT PROGRAM LOAD DEFINITION REPORT" Gentlemen:
Seventy (70) copies of the report NED0-21888, " Mark I Containment Frogram Load Definition Report", are being provided by the General N
Electric Company on behalf of the Mark I Owners Group as part of the Mark I Containment Program Task 7.6.
This report provides information required to define the hydrodynamic loads produced on the containment system of domestic Mark I plants during postulated loss-of-coolant accidents (LOCA's), safety / relief valve discharges, and related dynamic events. The information in this report will be used by the Mark I Owners to perform plant unique structural evaluations. As discussed previously with the NRC Staff, the LOCA steam condensation section of this report is scheduled for completion by March 16, 1979.
Separate Mark I Utility correspondence will reference this General Electric transmittal for use on their dockets.
