UNITED STATES NUCLEAR REGULATORY COMMISSION DOCKET NO. 50-327 TENNESSEE VALLEY AUTHORITY NOTICE OF ISSUANCE OF AMENDMENT LICENSE NO. DPR-77 The U. S. Nuclear Regulatory Cormission (the Commission) has issued Amendment No. 4 to License No. DPR-77, issued to Tennessee Valley Authority,(licensee) which added Section 8.6, Appendix A of the Technical Specifications for operation of the Sequoyah Nuclear Plant, Unit 1 (the facility) located in Hamilton County, Tennessee. This amendment sets out the low power test program authorized in that license issued on February 29,1980 (45 FR 15349, March 10,1980) and the amendment is effective as of its date of issuance.
The amendment permits the licensee to conduct the special low power test program as presented in our safety evaluation dated July 10, 1980.
The application for the amendment complies with the standards and requirements of the Atomic Energy Ac: of 1954, as amended (the Act), and the Commission's regulations.
The Commission has made appropriate findings as required by the Act and the Commission's regulations in 10 CFR Chapter I, which are set forth in the license amendment. The activity authorized by the amendment is encompassed by the overall action involving the proposed issuance of an operating license for which prior public notice was issued in the FEDERAL REGISTER on March 25, 1974 (39 FR 11131), and the license of Februa ry 29, 1980.
The Ccanission has determined that the issuance of this amendment will not result in any environmental impacts other than those evaluated in the Final 8007240312 i
. Environmental Statement since the activity authorized by the amendment is I
encompassed by the overall action evaluated in the Final Environmental Statement.
