Change In TMI Site Discharges Water Composite Sampling Frequencies This is in response to a letter from G. Hovey (TLL-302) dated June 24, 1980, subject as above. The TMI Program Office concurs with your recommendations

to reduce the sampling frequency of the Rf1L-7 continuous composite sample from the present 4 hour4.62963e-5 days <br />0.00111 hours <br />6.613757e-6 weeks <br />1.522e-6 months <br /> period to a 24 hour2.777778e-4 days <br />0.00667 hours <br />3.968254e-5 weeks <br />9.132e-6 months <br /> period. We also concur with your recommendation that the long-term composite sample for tritium low-level gamma scan, gross beta, and strontium -90 be changed from once per 24 hours2.777778e-4 days <br />0.00667 hours <br />3.968254e-5 weeks <br />9.132e-6 months <br /> to once per month.

Implementation of these changes shall become effective upon NRC approval of your revised procedure 1699A, Liquid Release From TMI-Administrative Controls.
