Duke Power Company Catawba Nuclear Station Units 1 and 2 (Docket Nos. 50-413 and 50-414)
Dear Mr. Denton:
On July 1, 1980 Duke Power Company submitted to the NRC on behalf of itself, North Carolina Electric Membership Corporation (NCEMC), and Saluda River Electric Cooperative, j
Inc. (Saluda River) an Application to Amend Construction j
Permit No. CPPR-ll6 to have NCEMC and Saluda River included as co-owners and co-applicants for Unit 1 of the Catawba Nuclear Station.
Duke advised the NRC that twenty (20) conformed copies of the Application were being submitted at that time and that a copy with original signatures of NCEMC and Saluda River would be submitted within two weeks of such filing. - Accordingly, enclosed please find a copy of such Application with original signatures of NCEMC and Saluda River.
Please note that the last sentence of paragraph 1.b.(i) appearing on page 3 of the Application has been corrected to read "The terms of said contracts are for the life of the project or so long as any of NCEMC's loans to finance the project are outstanding, but not exceeding g years."
This sentence in the copies submitted to you on July 1, 1980 incorrectly showed the maximum term of NCEMC's wholesale power contracts to be 45 years.
Very truly yours,
