Dear Mr. Martin:
This is in response to your letter of May 20, 1980, in which you requested we respond to you regarding a commitment to establish a written procedure to insure that all sludge generated within an inventory period would be considered in the LEID calculation.
There were no items of non-compliance observed during Inspection 80-06.
The attached form represents the procedure implemented 4/18/80 to record generated bottles of sludge and filters and make a comparison against U-235 sectioned to insure all sludge generated during the inventory period is considered in the LEID calculation.
This form was tested for the inventory period ending 5/16/80 and found to be acceptable for sludges, filters and machine chips.
