10CFR50.55(e) Item on Defective Westinghouse Switches.
Dear Mr. Keppler:
This letter is submitted as Detroit Edison's final report on the 10CFR50.
55(e) item on defective Westinghouse Switches.
On December 7, 1979, Detroit Edison's Mr. H.A. Walker telephoned Mr. F.J.
Jablonski of NRC Region III to report on defective Westinghouse Switches in distribution cabinets used to distribute power for plant instrumentation and control at the Fermi 2 Site. These switches were manufactured by West-inghouse Electric Corporation and furnished to Detroit Edison by the Harlo Corporation.
Edison Engineering has completed their evaluation of this deficiency. The attached report includes a description of the deficiency, and the corree-tive action taken. Corrective action will be completed in accordance with the construction schedule.
