South Texas Project Units 1&2 Docket Nos. STN50-498, STN50-499 Possible Reportable Deficiency Concerning Reactor Vessel Outlet Mc::le Safe Ends On June 3,1930, Houston Lighting & Power Ccm;;any notified your office of a potentially reportable deficiency concerning a violation of an equipment I

specification dealing with the safe ends of the reactor vessel outlet nozzle.

An evaluation has been performed which shows that this condition, if left uncorrected, would not have adversely affected the safety of operations of the plant and, therefore, is not reportable under 10CFR50.55(e). Thus, this matter is considered closed.
