Gentlemen:

This refers to the investigation conducted by Messrs. R. K. Herr and

D. D. Driskill, of our staff, on June 5-6, 1980, of activ! ties authorized

by NRC Construction Permits Nos. CPPR-128 and CPPR-129 for South Texas

Project, Units 1 and 2, respectively.

Since this investigation did not involve any design or other information

which could be considered proprietary as defined by Section 2.790 of the

NRC's " Rules of Practice," Part 2, Title 10, Code of Federal Regulations,

it will be distributed without the customary review.

No items of noncompliance or deviations were identified.
