Dear Mr. O'Reilly:

As requested by Mr. Tom Donat of your staff, the following information is provided in regard to IE Bulletin 79-16 concerning vital area access con-trols for nuclear stations. Vital area access controls for McGuire Nuclear Station will be addressed in the review of the McGuire Security Plan which is presently being conducted by the Office of Nuclear Materials Safety and Safeguards. This item will be resolved prior to the approval of the McGuire Security Plan, therefore, a specific response to IE Bulletin 79-16 for McGuire Nuclear Station is considered unnecessary.
