The applicant stated that the Security Plan for the Midland facility will be I

mvised in its entirety and resubmitted for NRC staff review by October 1,1980.

l The staff provided the applicant with a copy of NUREG-0674,. " Security Personnel r

Training and Qualiff, cation Criteria," May 1980 for use in preparing contingency and-training plans.

.The discussions also included fixed site and in-transit requirements for the.

physical protection of special nuclear. material of moderate and low strategic r

significance, -as specified by 10 CFR 73.67. This discussion is relevant to the i

applicants ' equest for. licenses pursuant to 10 CFR Part 70 to receive, own, r

stom, possess and transfer special. nuclear material as reactor fuel. The applic' ant was referred to Regulatory Guide 5.59 for further guidance 'on this matter.
