This letter confirms Philadelphia Electric Company's voluntary cooperation for a small team of our research contractors to visit the Peach Bottom Unit 2 in September of this year. The visit is related to a research study we are sponsoring on the status monitoring of engineered safety features.
Your consent to this visit was received in a telephone conversati.on between Mr. W. Byerly (PECo) and Mr. D. Verrelli (NRC) on June 23, 1980.
We anticipate that the team will consist of two or three people; the visit will last approximately two days. We will contact members of your staff in the near future to finalize arrangements.
The cooperation of Philadelphia Electric Company in participating in this safety resea3rch study is appreciated.
