CPPR-57 - UNIDENTIFIED NOISE IN REACTOR COOLING SYSTEM The attached inspection report, Section I, paragraph 2, describes an occurance at ANO-1. During hot functional tests at ANO-1 noises were detected emanating apparently from the reactor vessel. Inasmuch as the licensee has been advised by the nuclear steam system supplier that the noises are of no consequence he does not plan further action. Region II has no basis for either accepting or rejecting this position. It is requested that this item be reviewed by the appropriate Headquarters personnel and C) guidance be provided.
