l The Atomic Energy Comission has issued an order extending the construction cot:pletion date for Sacramento Municipal Utility District's Rancho Seco
- z.g nuclear' Generating Station, Unit 1.
In lieu of the latest completion date of December 31, 1973, as specified previously in Provisional Constivetion Pernit No. CPPR-56, the latest completion date has been entended to September 30, 1974.
=1 The extension has been requested because construction has been delayed due to several factors which include (1) construction schedule, (2) Inbor production, (3) design nodifications, and (4) late delivery of equipment.
Copics of the applicant's letter dated October 8, 1973, requesting the crtension of the Provisional Construction Permit, the Connission's Order, and a Staff Evaluation are enclosed for the inforcation of the Con =1ttec.
The Order has been sent to the Office of the Federal Register for publication.
