Dear Mr. Engelken:
g This letter is to report Abnormal Occurrence No. 74-4.
Durino routine reactor protection surveillance checkout, the Channel A " nuclear power based on flee and imbalance" module indicated that the trip point drifted in a nonconservative direction, approximately 200 millivolts, which is equivalent to 2'; reactor power.
An investigation to detemine the cause of the drift of this setpoint is undenfay.
The similar mndules in Channel B, C, and D were tested and found to be within specifications.
A full report will be submitted within 10 days.
