Dear Mr. Schwencer:
In accordance with the procedure contained in your letter of May 6, 1974, concerning the distribution of supplementary de-tailed data, we are submitting three (3) copies of detailed EISC drawings.
The attached drawings (EC-206-017 and EC-206-041) reflect design changes providing an additional feed to each of the 120 volt A-C vital busses.
All new equipment is classified as Class IE.
The new transformer-regulator combination will be fed from existing Class IE power supplies as well.
The transfer to the new Class IE alternate source will be accom-plished through a manual transfer switch.
With this change, the requirement for plant shutdown within 8 hours9.259259e-5 days <br />0.00222 hours <br />1.322751e-5 weeks <br />3.044e-6 months <br /> as now stated on page 8-9 of the Commission's Safety Evaluation Report (SER) should be modified so it is only applicable after the loss of both Class IE feeds to the vital busses.
The necessary revisions to the Final Safety Analysis Report for Crystal River #3 to include this design modification will be filed with the Commission via Amendment No. 48 to the FSAR.
