O SER INPUT FOR DAVIS BESSE UNIT 1 O
The licensee described the test.ng planned af ter completicn of the core modifications in letters to ths URC dated May 13, May 26. June 8, and June 13,1978. Low power physics tests and startup tests will be performed to assure that the various physics parameters are bounded by those in the Final Safety Analysis Report.
Tests include rod drop times, critical bcron concentration, temperature coefficients, control rod worths, power distributions, and power coefficients.
Successful completion of tests at each power level will be required before proceeding to the next higher power level.
The staff has reviewed the testing planned, as described in the above referenced letters, and finds it acceptable.
