APPLICATION FOR AMENDMENT TO LICENSE NO. NPF-3 FOR DAVIS-BESSE NUCLEAR POWER STATION UNIT NO. 1 Enclosed are forty-three (43) copies of the requested changes to the Davis-Besse Nuclear Power Station Unit No. 1 Technical Specifications, Appendix A to License No. NPF-3, together with the reasons for the change and the Safety Evaluation of the requested change.

DB-1 REQUESTED CHANGE TO THE DAVIS-BESSE NUCLEAR POWER STATION UNIT NO. 1 TECHNICAL SPECIFICATIONS (Appendix A to License No. NPF-3)
The attached page 3/4 8-9 has been modified to show the following requested changes:
1.
Surveillance requirement 4.8.2.3.2 a.
- 2. and 4.8.2.3.2. b. 2. is changed to require a pilot cell specific gravity, corrected to 77 F and full electrolyte level, of 1.195 instead of 1.20.
2.
Su.veillance requirement 4.3.2.3.2 b. 2. is changed to allow a specific gravity change of up to 0.02 from the previous test instead of 0.01.
These changes are requested to allow less stringent, more realistic testing requirements which still assure that the Station Batteries are
