Your submittal, dated "ay 6,1977, for the postulated fuel handlino accident has now been reviewei and evaluated. Our safety evaluation report regarding this postulated accident is provided in the Enclosure to this letter.
In sumary, we conclude that the present nlant systens shich are avail-able at Davis-Besse. Unit 1 for mitigating tre consequences of a fuel handling accident inside containment are acceptable, and that the accident doses for this 70stulated accident are well.*ithin the quide-lines of 10 CFR Part 100 and are, therefore, acceptable.
