P'. Gammill SU3 JECT: FIRE PROTECTION REVIEW - DAVIS BESSE NUCLEAR POWER STATION, UNIT 1 We have performed an additional review of the Davis Besse Emergency Plan in conjunction with the ongoing Fire Protection Program Review.
We find that the infomation provided in the Emergency Plan, i.hrough Revision 26 dated January 22, 1977, and the Fire Hazard Ar' lysis Report, Revision 1 (submitted by.lettor dated January ll, 1978) does not fully conform to those fire protection elecents found in Regulatory Guide 1.101, Emergency Planning for Nuclear Power Plants. Our positions regarding this matter are provided in the enclosure to this letter.
We request that you amend the Davis Besse Emergency Plan and Revision No. I to the Fire Hazard Analysis Report to confom to the enclosed positions.
We request that your response be provided within thirty days after receipt of this letter. If you cannot r.eet the above time period, please infom us within seven days after receipt of this letter.
