The applicant has'subnitted a fuel densification report for Oconee Units 2. ' ~. We will evaluate this report on the same basi's as the lead plant, Oconee Unit 1, was evaluated. 7.lial nigh-Energy Line Rupture: The applicant has submitted information supplementing his original high-energy line rupture report. We will complete our review of this matter prior to the ACRS neeting in August.. 6.2 Reactor Building Structural Design: The applicant and the staff . agrue that the calculated overpressure in the steam generator sube apartment resulting from a LOCA is about 4 psi greater than the design pressure of the subcompartment walls. The applicant has reassessed the' structural capability of the walls and concluded that'they will withstand the calculated overpressure with 30%. margin. - The staff,will complete its review of the structural capability prior to,the'ACRS meeting in August. e 10.6 Spent Fuel Handling system: ~ The staff has concluded that the f addition of iodine filters to the spent fuel handling facility is ~ practical and prudent because of the relatively higher probability of the fuel handling accident.
