Case, Director Division of Reactor Standards TECHNICAL ASSIST.GCE REQUEST FOR ENGINEERING REVIEW OF OCONEE UNIT 1 DAMAGE, REPAIR AND REDESIGN DRS technical assistance is requested to: (1) determine the extent of engineering review required in connection w1th expected =odification of the B&W prototype Oconee Unit i reactor vessel internals which suffered major damage during recent hot functional tests, and (2) provide engineering review of the proposed 3&W vibration monitoring system for vessel internals.
The requested assistance involves participation in progress conference calls between DRL, Duke and B&W and review of infornation on the damage assessment, cause and fix vbich will be submitted by 3&W as work progresses.
