Dear Judge'Bennett:

Enclosed please find a copy of the letter which we received

- yesterday from Mr. Justice, the Town-Attorney of the Town of Cornelius, t

North Carolina.

Mr. -Justice had previously explained, in extensive telephone conversation with me, that Mayor Rood, who is the new mayor of the Town of-Cornelius, had no background information.concerning this case prior to receipt of our letter of 22 Feoruary 1973.

We hereby request.that the Board allow Cornelius until 20 March to ' consider and arrive at this most important decision.

i Sincerely, 1
