ABNORMAL OPERATING PROCEDURE AOP-13.0 LOSS OF MAIN FEEDWATER 1.0 Purcose This procedure provides Symptoms, Automatic Actions, Immediate Operator Actions and Subsequent Operator Actions required for a loss of main feedwater.
2.0 Symptoms _
Alarm or indication of the following condition'(s) on all steam generators:
2.1 Steam generator steam flow greater than feed flow.
2.2 Steam generator level deviation (t 5% of programmed level).
2.3 Steam generator water level low alert (25%).
3.0 Automatic Actions
.p.
y 3.1 Motor driven auxiliary feedwater pumps.atart if:
Both main feed'ater pumps trip, or 3.1.1 w
3.1.2 On low-low steam generator level, signal in 1/3 steam generators.
3.2 Turbine driven auxiliary feedwater pump starts on low-low steam generator level signal in 2/3 steam generators.
3.3 Reactor trip on steam generator feedwater low flow with S/G level low.
4.0 Lmmediate Operator Actions 4.1 Trip the turbine.
4.2 Verify auxiliary feedwater pumps start.
4.3 Verify reactor trip (Refer to EOP 5.0, Reactor Trip).

VOLUME 5 FNP-2-AOP-13.0 5.0 subsequent Operator Action 5.1 Control AFW flow to establish steam generator level at 33 2 5%.
Limit feedwater flow rate to 0
avoid RCS cooldown below 545 F.
NOTE:
If the condensate storage tank level decreases to four (4) feet and auxiliary feedwater is required for plant conditions, shift auxiliary feedwater pumps suction to the service water system per FHP-2-SOP-22.0, Section 4.3.
