Dear Mr. Ippolito:
This is in regard to your May 27, 1980 letter which requested additional information concerning our March 23, 1979 submittal of the Safeguards Contingency Plan for Brunswick Steam Electric Plant, Unit Nos. 1 and 2.
Your letter requested'this information within 30 days.
Concurrant with this request, Carolina Power & Light Company (CP&L) is (1) updating the Industrial Security Plans for both Brunswick and Robinson Plants in accordance with 10CFR50.54(p) and previous com-mitments to NRC, and (2) preparing responses to security-related I&E Inspection Reports for both plants. Therefore, if acceptable to the Staff, CP&L plans to submit the requested additional information for the Brunswick Safeguards Contingency Plan by August 1, 1980.
