The purpose of this submittal is to request the amendment of Special Nuclear Material Licenses SNM-1802 and SNM-1833 for LaSalle County Station Units 1 and 2 respectively as issued by Reference (a) and amended by Reference (b).
The original application for the subject SNM licenses requested that they not expire "until the issuance of the station operating license."
Currently, the scheduled fuel loading date for-LaSalle County Unit 1 is September 30, 1980 and for Unit 2 is June 1, 1981..Given the potential for unfereseeable slippage in the plant construction schedule, as well as, the uncertainty now cccccia cc with "ncar term operating licence" iscuance, the latest expiration dates now' defined in the SNM licenses require I
revision.
Therefore, it is requested that the expiration date for
-SNM-1802-be revised to June 30, 1981; and the expiration aate for SNM-1833 be revised to-March 31, 1982.
These revised dates were identified as the " latest completion dates" in the Nuclear 4
