Gentlemen:
This refers to the inspection conducted by Messrs. D. E. Miller and
P. C. Lovendale of this office on April 8-10, 1980, of activities at
Point Beach Nuclear Power Plant, Units 1 and 2, authorized by NRC
Licenses DPR-24 and DPR-27, and to the discussion of our findings with
Mr. G. Reed and others at the conclusion of the inspection.
The inspection was an examination of activities conducted under your
license as they relate to radiation safety and to compliance with the
Commission's rules and regulations and with the conditions of your
license. The inspection consisted of a selective examination of pro-
cedures and representative records, observations, independent measure-
ments, and interviews with personnel.
No items of noncompliance with NRC requirements were identified during
the course of this inspection.
Based on discussions with your representatives at the site, we under-
stand that you will institute a revised program and procedure for
evaluation of discrepancies between TLD and dosimeter results by May 31,
1980.
In accordance with Section 2.790 of the NRC's " Rules of Practice," Part
2, Title 10, Code of Federal Regulations, a copy of this letter and the
enclosed inspection report will be placed in the NRC's Public Document
Room, except as follows.
